Motor Vehicle Repair : Welding and Flame Cutting

The likely consequences of exposure to welding fume may cause adverse health effects if sufficient inhalation exposure occurs. These effects can include irritation, damage to the respiratory tract, and adverse effects from the absorption of toxic metals. Inhalation of zinc metal fume, from welding galvanised or zinc-coated panels, may result in a "flu" like condition known as "metal fume fever".
